The Original Candlelight Inn
Jack and Phyllis Tracy opened the original Candlelight Inn in Scarsdale, New York, in 1955. Built around great food, cold drinks, and genuine hospitality, it quickly became a neighborhood favorite and laid the foundation for a family tradition that continues today.
Bringing the Tradition South
George Tracy and his wife Kathy brought the Candlelight tradition to St. Augustine, opening Candlelight South in 2014 at 1 Anastasia Boulevard. While inspired by the original New York restaurant, the Florida location developed its own identity as a neighborhood sports bar, family-friendly restaurant, and local gathering place.
A St. Augustine Favorite
Over the years, Candlelight South has become a destination for locals, visitors, families, and sports fans alike. Whether guests come for award-winning wings, a full bar, or to catch the game on one of 12 HD screens, they've helped make Candlelight South part of the St. Augustine community.
Laura Runs the Show Now
George and Kathy's daughter Laura manages day-to-day operations, making Candlelight South a true three-generation family affair. Same commitment, same recipes, same welcome — now with 12 HD screens and every major sports package.
